The set of four stamps depicts four Olympic sports that are enjoyed by many Singaporeans through the years, namely table tennis, sailing, shooting and badminton. Artistic dark silhouettes of athletes in action, against a stark contrast of the white background of the stamps, add drama to a historical event that celebrates the human spirit and achievement every four years. Giving it an Oriental feel, the stamps are adorned with the Chinese terms of each of the sport on the respective stamp.
