SS DRURY VICTORY WWII Merchant ship memorial cover postmarked January 30, 2006 at Springfield, Missouri. This cargo vessel was named for Drury College (now University) in Springfield, Missouri and is one of a group of 150 Victory Ships named for American Colleges and Universities. She was launched on June 6, 1945 by Pemanente Metals Corp at Richmond, California. Color printed cachet #1960 by Alvin Eckert, #9964 USCS.  Cover franked with a 39 cent American Flag stamp. Seller has covers for all the US Colleges, Cities and Towns having so named Victory Ships. Check out my other items!  These collectables make fine student/alumni gifts when mounted on colored matte and placed in a 5x7 picture frame.
