1912 Red 1d SG 341 King George V Lion Shaded I have recently been given to me a booklet of various stamps which I do not wish to retain, hence the appearance of these stamps on Ebay. I know nothing about stamps so to research any value in these stamps I visited the local library, I used the 2005 edition of the Stanley Gibbons Commonwealth simplified catalogue for all the stamps in the collection which include stamps from New Zealand, Australia as well as the UK. All my sales are listed with no reserve, so the starting price is what I consider to be a reasonable price, and is under the value quoted in the catalogue. All stamps are listed as described in the catalogue, with an SG number. I appreciate stamps is a very specialist area, so any remarks about the condition of the stamps are only my opinion, all pictures are scans of the actual stamp I have, if you do have any questions, or wish to see additional pictures of the stamps, please email me. This listing is for a 1912 Red 1d King George V Stamp. It is the version of the stamp with the lion shaded. All perforations are intact and the stamp has been previously hinged. The crown at the top overlaps into the perforation area. Interestingly the cancellation stamp displays Perth, 3 pm on the 18 March 1913. For older stamps I have surfed the internet to try and describe the stamps condition as accuratly as possible, for this stamp, I would descibe the grade as fine/very fine. This is because the stamp image is slightly low for centring. There are no faults, the perforation is intact all around. I would describe the hinging as light, it is still present.
